Master Chiranth was a bright, cheerful baby who brought endless joy to his family. But their happiness was short-lived. At just five months old, Chiranth began experiencing recurring high fevers that returned every four months. His parents, desperate to find answers, visited numerous hospitals and consulted several doctors, including neurologists. Yet, for over a year, no one could diagnose what was wrong with their little boy. Finally, a visit to Dr. Mathew, a specialist in rare diseases, revealed the heartbreaking truth: Chiranth was suffering from Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. This diagnosis changed their lives forever. The once-playful Chiranth lost all his cognitive abilities. He could no longer recognize his surroundings, not even his parents, and now lives in a vegetative state. The emotional and financial burden on the family has been overwhelming. Chiranth’s father, determined to give his son the best care, sold his vehicle and took out personal loans amounting to ₹20 lakhs. The family even relocated to Bengaluru, hoping for better healthcare options. Chiranth now requires constant care. He has undergone surgery to insert a feeding tube, and his monthly medical expenses exceed ₹70,000. Despite their tireless efforts, including reaching out to the Karnataka government, submitting letters to their MLA, and visiting Vidhana Soudha, they have not received any support. Chiranth’s story is a painful reminder of the struggles families face when dealing with rare diseases—the crushing medical costs, the emotional toll, and the relentless fight to provide the best for their loved ones. Today, Chiranth’s father, Pradeep Yadav H V, humbly seeks your help. Your support can make a difference in ensuring Chiranth gets the care he desperately needs. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Content by: Miss Vrunda Tukadiya - ORDI Volunteer
